Society of Biological Psychiatry 2025 Meeting
[This is the most frustrating conference of the year for me. In the 6 years Iâve been doing some form of this newsletter, this SBP releases its quite intriguing abstracts â but only the first few sentences. Unlike any other journal or conference out there, they don't release enough to even get more than a tantalizing hint of what the findings are. For shame]

PS: This weekâs album of Nigerian drumming is âJuju Musicâ by King Sunny AdĂŠ, the king of juju music (the dancing hybrid of Western pop, Yoruba praise music, Ghanaian highlife & Nigerian guitars) & the first to bring the talking drum to the global stage. Released in 1982, this was the first international album by a West African artist to hit big in Western markets. Born into a family of Yoruba royalty, he began his music career during university by playing with the highlife band of Moses Olaiya's Federal Rhythm Dandies. By 1967, he formed his own band, The Green Spots, & soon after, thanks to his disgust with the exploitation of artists by the recording industry, he started his own label. His release of âJuju Musicâ in 1982 led to worldwide acclaim & to the first Grammy nomination for a Nigerian. In the â90s, he founded the King Sunny AdĂŠ Foundation that included a performing arts center, a recording studio & housing for young musicians. He also took the money from his early hits to found businesses as diverse as an oil firm, a mining company, a nightclub, a film production company, a PR firm & of course, his record label specializing in African artists. Itâs said he employs over 700 people in his companies. He later served as the chairman of the Musical Copyright Society of Nigeria & became one of the most influential African musicians of all time.

Hi! I'm going to try a healing protocol. One of my items needed is CBD. Do you know good source for American made CBD?
