📌 Editor’s note:
On June 1, I’ll be giving a free online lecture at the Cannabis Public School called ‘Neuro Neuro Neuro: Cannabinoids for Alzheimer's, Parkinson's & MS’.
You can register here:
https://www.cannabispublicschool.us/register
I already updated the Alzheimer’s & Parkinson’s pages on CVResearch.info & it’s really a stunning array of clinical studies on the power of THC & CBD for these neurodegenerative conditions. And I’ll get the multiple sclerosis page updated later this week (despite the kids not having school for two days). The MS page will probably take the longest because it’s at the center of the Venn diagram of cannabinoid therapeutic efficacy: autoimmune disorders & neurodegenerative diseases. If you know anyone dealing with this or other neurodegenerative conditions, I strongly encourage you to encourage them to consider cannabinoids. #AMA

PS: For this week’s soul jazz, ‘This Here Is Bobby Timmons’ by Bobby Timmons, best known for penning classics like ‘Moanin’ & ‘Dat Dere’ (which led to one of my favorite parenting sons, this cover by Oscar Brown Jr). A native of Philadelphia & the son of a minister,. Timmons came from a musical family & earned a scholarship to the Philadelphia Musical Academy. By the mid-‘50s, he was in New York & recording with the likes of Chet Baker & Maynard Ferguson but it was his time as a sideman with Art Blakey's Jazz Messengers & Cannonball Adderley's band that led to his greatest fame. But despite authoring a number of hits, he resisted being typecast as just a composer & is now known for being an originator of bringing funk into jazz. In the early ‘60s, he started his own trio but his drinking & heroin addiction took much of his money & energy. His career declined quickly over the decade & by 1974, he was dead at the age of 38 of cirrhosis.
This newsletter is the backbone of my work & I hope it brings you a measure of value. If so, please consider upgrading to a paid subscription & support my sharing all of the new cannabinoid science each week.
