“Prosecutors said Bongiovanni’s corruption involved as much inaction as calculated coverup. They pointed to a turning point in 2008 when Bongiovanni could have acted on intelligence about traffickers he knew whose operation would evolve into a large-scale organization with links to California, Vancouver, and New York City.
He also was accused of authoring bogus DEA reports, stealing sensitive files, throwing off colleagues, outing confidential informants, covering for a sex-trafficking strip club and helping a high school English teacher keep his marijuana-growing side hustle. Prosecutors said he brazenly urged colleagues to spend less time investigating Italians and focus instead on Black and Hispanic people.”

On creating new terminology for cannabis flowering to lessen confusion
Unraveling the Confusion of Flowering Types and Terminology in Cannabis sativa
https://journals.ashs.org/view/journals/hortsci/61/2/article-p396.xml
“We describe new terminology to differentiate between two types of female reproductive structures with subclassifications for specific female flower appearances. “Botanical pistillate flowering” refers to the day-neutral single pistillate flowers that appear at the nodes of female and monoecious plants. “Commercial pistillate flowering” leads to a distinctive compound inflorescence and is marked by the appearance of a domed structure with three stigma pairs on the dominant growing point in female and monoecious plants. Female flowering can be further described as “early- or late-stage incomplete commercial pistillate flowering.” Male reproductive structures develop into two forms. “Botanical staminate flowering” produces panicles with bell-shaped pedicellate flowers that have five petals, which open to reveal five anthers attached via anther filaments in male and monoecious plants. “Antheral flowering” is characterized by the appearance of single anthers or clusters of anthers that lack a pedicel and have no petals or filaments at the nodes or within the female inflorescence on monoecious plants.”

PS: For today’s long-lived & prolific practitioner of the West Coast blues, the pianist, singer & songwriter Jimmy McCracklin on his album ‘I Had To Get With It: The Best Of The Imperial & Minit Years’. Growing up in Missouri & serving in the Navy during World War II, McCracklin moved to the West Coast & started recording in 1945. He spent the next decade recording with many tiny labels from Los Angeles to Oakland, his first big hit coming with 1958’s ‘The Walk’ (first track on this album). It put him in the Top 10 on both the pop & R&B charts & catapulted him to national TV fame. He kept creating hits throughout the ‘60s & segued into soul music when that was the thing to do. Throughout the 80s & 90s, he continued to tour & produce new albums. He said he wrote almost a thousand songs over his career & we know he recorded hundreds of them, continuing to write, record & perform into the 21st century. Finally, after 91 years on this earth, Jimmy McCracken went home to the blues club in the sky.
